Lily Pad is for sale by her original owners, Sandy and Nancy Graves. She is a USCG documented 2006 model and was purchased at the St Pete Sailboat Show and delivery was taken in Annapolis, MD in April of 2006. We lived aboard her for five years from July 2006 until April 2011. We cruised her up and down the ICW from the Chesapeake to the Keys several times and up the west coast of Florida to Boca Grande and across the Okeechobee. We crossed one time to the Bahamas for a month in 2010. All but slightly less than 2 years of her time has been spent on the St Johns river (fresh water) in central Florida.
Below you will find details and a list of videos that show her interior and exterior and some of our sailing her in the Keys as well as photos of some of her systems. She was purchased and outfitted as a coastal and island hopping, live aboard cruiser for two people with over night accommodations for two guests. It was our experience that this is the best and fullest use for the Gemini catamaran series. Contact us at 407-592-1207 or fireboat52@yahoo.com. Half the price of a new equivalently outfitted Gemini Email comment from a very recent prospective buyer - "Thanks for your time and good luck with selling your boat. It was gorgeous and well maintained."

A Brief History of Lily Pad
I dreamed about sailing around the world after I got out of the Army in 1971 but time, family and money conspired to keep me closer
to home over the years. Lily Pad was the boat that would take me to all the places that I wanted to go. She wasn't bought to be raced
or to impress people at the local yacht club although she did both effortlessly despite my intentions. I had gotten the photo bug when
I climbed to the top of my first catamaran, Lion's Paw, and took pictures of Bahia Honda basin in the Keys and I was determined to
modify Lily pad into a photography platform as well a superior exploring vessel. We outfitted her with a tilting mast to get under
bridges and wires to places that other boats of similar height couldn't go. She has a skinny draft, and folding mast steps to access the
top of the mast easily and safely which opened up an endless number of places and vistas that we could visit and photograph. We
installed a composting toilet which in addition to ridding the boat of an annoying smell, allows us to spend extended periods of time
in sensitive areas without having to find a pump out station which could be tens of miles away.
In addition we carried kayaks. We would anchor in out of the way places and explore the mangrove channels; outlying places like the
Content Keys in the Florida Keys, Cayo Costa and the Snake river on the Gulf Coast and numerous coves in the Bahamas; the Low
Country grassy tributaries in Georgia and South Carolina, or we would paddle around the ox-bows and creeks off the St Johns River
in Florida or the endless number of creeks and tributaries along the ICW and the Chesapeake Bay. We had grand plans for the
Tennessee river, Erie Canal and the Great Lakes, but alas, things change.
We developed a great awning system the allowed us to shade the front window while underway or cover it completely to keep the
boat cool in the hottest weather. It also could be quickly modified to catch water and divert it directly to the water tanks. We installed
a water maker and a freezer and filled it with fish both going and coming from the Bahamas with fresh catch using only a Cuban Yo-
Yo. We carried folding bikes in the aft lockers and rode them around Annapolis and other towns until we wore them out.
This is what Lily Pad meant to us and how we used her to fulfill a dream. If this is your idea of what cruising is all about, then she may
be the boat you are looking for. We are selling her because of new grand children, aging parents and some adverse health events that
have made walking around on a pitching deck or climbing a mast more hazardous for me than it normally should be.
To give you an idea of what it was all like, here below are some pictures that I took, some from the mast head. Shooting from the
masthead has its hazards and obviously you have to have control of any fear of heights. I would gladly share my experiences, methods
and advice to any buyer.
Lily Pad as a photography platform - What makes Lily Pad unique as a photography platform are several features. With mast steps
and a properly designed harness and tag line system, you can ascend to the top safely and quickly. With the ability to tilt her mast, you
have access to many areas beyond bridges with 40-45 ft heights. With her shoal draft, you can come in close to the shore line to access
angles of view not available to deeper keeled boats. With her water maker and composting toilet, you can spend extended periods of
time in sensitive backwaters searching out scenic structures and vistas. And being a catamaran, she has the stability aloft to allow you to
shoot clearer shots and work more freely with your equipment.
Here are a few of the hundreds of panoramic photos that I took from the deck and aloft. I will be publishing a book soon describing
my techniques. For specific information, contact me personally.

Folding mast steps make getting aloft quick work. Solar array is rotated into the setting sun.
